The fifth meet ing of the Council for 1914 was held in the
Council Room on Thursday evening March 12th, the following members
being present viz;-Mayor Baldwin, Reeve Knowles and councillors
Bassett, Crockart, Coulter, Hulse and Sisman.

Moved by Mr Sisman seconded by Mr Crockart that the following
accounts be paid, that thw Mayor issue orders on the Treasurer
for the same and that the seal of the Corporation be attached to

The Water Works Committee made the following report;-
To the Mayor and Council of the Town of Aurora
In Council Assembled.
Gentlemen;-
We your Water Works Commijtee to whom certain water
rates were referred beg leave to report as follows;-
1st. That the'rate of '1 cents per 1000 gallons be charged the
Collis Leather Co for their Tannery.
2Nd. That J. Fleury's Sons irh0 have been paying $40.00 per
Annum be now charged $80.00 per annum.
3rd. That the Underhills Limited Shoe Factory which has not bemn
charged any rate be now.charged $50.00 per annum.
4th. That the Thomas Sisman Shoe Company who have not been
charged any rate fer water hithertoo be now charged $50.00 per
annum for their factory .•
5th. That Charles Comiskey be charged $18.00 per annum for water
for his barn.
6th. That the Methodist church which formerly paid $6.00 per annm
for water for their moter for their organ be now charged $30.00
per annum.
'lth. That the Arenia be oharged$25.00 per annum for water tc flod
their Rink and other purposes.

8th. That the Water Works Department be charged $25.00 per
annum for each hydrant for fire protection
All of which is respectfully submitted.

On motion the report was. referred to Committee of the whole Mr
Bassett in the chair
Committee rose and recommended the changing of the rate to
the Methodist Church for their moter from $40.00 to $30,00
Council adopted the report with this chan~~
Leave.was asked to introduce a bylaw to amend bylaw No 344 of
this Council/
Leave granted and bylaw read a first time.
Meved by Mr Sisman seconded by Mr Bassett that the bylaw now
before the Council be read a second and third time this day that r•
rule 33 of bylaw No 10 be suspended for that purpose.
Carried
Bylaw read a second time and council went into committee of the
whole on the same.
Committee rose and reported bylaw filleQ with blanks filled
Bylaw read a third time and passed.
Council adjourned to meet at the call of the Mayor
