The fourth meeting of the Council was held in the Council
Room on Monday evening February 23rd, the following members
being present Viz Mayor Baldwin Reeve Knowles, and Councillors
Bassett, Crdckart, Coulter, Hulse, and Murray.

Minutes of the last meeting read and confirmed.
A communication was received feom Mr Peter E. Lasalle asking
to have the Pool Room license transferred from Mr Poucher to
hinself.
A deputation composed of Messers Fleury, Ferguson, Bell
and McDonald was heard re contribution towards repairing the
Mechanics Hall:
Moved by MrBassett seconded by Mr Crockart that thw appli
cation of Mr Peter E. Lasalle for the Transfer of the Pool Room
License from Mr Poucher to him self be granted and that the Clerk
be and he is hereby instructed to issue the transfer for six months
on payment of the License for that period of time and that the
seal of the Corporation be attached to this resolution.
Carried.
Moved by Mr Knowles seconded by Mr Murray that the Mayor be
and he is hereby. instructed to issue an order on the Treasurer
for the sum of Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars in favour of the
Public Library Board to be applied to repairs on the Mechanics
Hall, and that the Corporation have free use of the Hall for
Public Meetings and that the seal of the Corporation be attached
to this resolution.
Carried.
Leave was asked to introduce a bylaw to appoint an assessor
for the Town for the year 1914.
Leave granted and Bylaw read a first time
Moved by Mr Hulse seconded b~ Mr Murray that the bylaw now
before the Council be read a second and third time this day and
that rule 33. of bylaw No 10 be suspended for that purpose.

Bylaw read a second time and Council went into co=ittee of
the whole on the same Mr Bassett in the chair
Committee rose and reported blank fille6 with the name of
Chas Albert Petch.

Council adjourned to meet at the call of the Mayor.
