The third meeti~g of the Council for 1914 was held in the Council Room on Wednesday evening January 28th. The following members being present;-Mayor Baldwin, Reeve Knowles and Coun cillors Bassett, Coulter, Crockart, ix Murray and Sisman. The Mayor in the chair Minutes of last meeting read and confirmed. The Mayor Explained fillx:tkB that the special meeti~g had been called to take up some matters in connection with electric accounts which had been left over from last year. The following report was received and read from the electric Light Committee. To the Mayor and Council of Aurora in Council assembled. Gentlemen;- We your corrMittee on Electric Light beg to state we have had under consideration a number of accou~ts for work and material in the construction of the Electric Light and power System left over from last year and would respectfully recommend payment of the following accounts;- Toronto & York Radial Railway balance of electrical current account amounting to $1171.00 which include.s current supplied from September First to January :&'irst last· In regard to the bill of the Toronto and York Radial Railway for the instala.tion of the Power Lines Which was only received last a short time before the end of XkE year amounting to$3403.63 your committee recommend the payment of $3000.00 on account and the balance $403.63 held in abeyance for further consideration We may say be had representatives of the Company in consultation with your committee Tuesday evening and they agreed to this proposal: We would alse recommend the payment of the following accounts for work and material 'I ' .("" ,...,., \ ). ·''<.,.. --9-- Third meeting Continued Canadian General Electric/ material · W.. (''\ j I '. f --10--- Third Meeting of the Council moved by Mr Sisman seconded by Mr Bassett that the bylaw now before the Council be read a second and third time this day and that rule 33 of bylaw No 10 be slispended for that purpose Carried. Bylaw read a second time and Council went into committee of the whole on the same Mr Murray in the chair. Committee rose and reported blank filled with the name of Thlr Alfred Love. Bylaw read a third time and passed. Council adjourned to meet at the call of the Mayor !1~~~~~~
