The Nineteenth Meeting of the Council for 1913 was held on
Wednesday eventng October 15th, l913, the following members being
present, Mayor Baldwin, Reeve Knowles and Councillors Browning,
Bassett Andrews, Crockart, Hulse and Sisman, The :l&ayor in the
chair.

Communications were received and read from/-
John Wright asking to be appointed policeman for the Town.
Michael Shulman asking exemption of taxes on a skating rink
Which he proses to erect on the Steel property, for four years.
From the Mayor of Toronto asking a deputation from the mtown
to attend the meeting re the Metropolitan Area to be held in
Toronto on the 22nd.
Bills were recei~ed and read from the following persons;-
Bert Lloyd, work on streets
Henry Etler, repairs
Stiver Bros coal for Petch

Moved by Mr Knowles seconded by 1ir Browning that the following
accounts be paid that the Mayor issue orders on the Treasurer for
the same and that the seal of the Corporation be attached to this
resolution, Viz

a committee to meet the Transportation committee of the city of
Toronto on the 22nd inst re the :liietropolitan Railway, namely Eayor
Baldwin, Reeve Knowles, all the members of the Council, town Clerk

Moved by Mr Knowles se11onded by Mr Bassett that the Tender of
the Canadian Allis -Chalmers Company for the instalation of Electric
Pumps and electric Appliances in connection with the same at the
Water works be and the same is hereby accepted and the following be
and they are hereby appointed to draft an agreement •x%h tm be
submitted to the said Company for the completion of the work, namely
Mayor Baldwin, Reeve Knowles and Councillors Crockart and Browning.
I.f the Agreement is found satisfactory to both the committee and
the said Company it shall be submitted to the Council for ratification
before being signed by the I~ayor and Clerk. In case the Committee
and Company fail to complete an agreement then the acceptance ofthis
Tender shall be declared nul and void and the committee shall report
the same to thms Council at once and the seal of the Corporation
be attached to this resolution.
