The sixth meeting of the town Council was held on r,Ionday evening
February :5th, the following members being present;-namely
l!ayor Baldwin, Reev'll! Knowles and Councillors Bassett, Browning, Conov
er, Davis, Manning and £fd tchelL The T:ayor · in the chair.
Minutes of last meeting read and confirmed.
A deputation from the ?ublic Library Bord was heard consisting of
Mr J. A. Ferguson, Iiir A. Vi. Brodie and I:r McDonald asking for a grant
of $200.00 for the maintenance of the Public :Library.
The Town Clerk made a:pplication for an increase of salary.
Bills were reueived from the following persons;-Viz

Moved by Mr Knowles seconded by r.:r Kanning that the follov.·ing bills
be paid that the !.7ayor issue orders on the treasurer for the saiiJlil

Moved by Mr Bassett seconded by I,!r latchell that the request of the
Public Library Board be granted asking for $200.00 and that the
Illayor issue an order on the Treasurer for that amount and that the
seal of the Corporation be attached to this resolution.

be and they are hereby instructed to bring in a bylaw at the
next meeting of this council re the granting of a bonus of Ten
Thiusand Dollars to the Collis :.eather Company Limited.
Carried.

Councillors Bassett and Ta tchell be a COI!llni ttee to have an agree
mont prepared between the town of Aurora and the Collis Leather
Company • :Limited.
Carried.
Eoved by Mr Bassett seconded by l.:r Browning that the Nayor,
Reeve and J,lr H. W. Fleury be a comni ttoe to interview Sir Will
liarn I!.lulock re his offer of three thousand Dollars to the town
of Aurora towards paying the expense of making Yonge Street
through the to>m equal to the Good. Roads System ancf that the seal
of the Corporation be attached to this resolution.

next meeting of this Council to anend the bylaw under which the
Clerk is appointed

The chairman of the bylav; committee asked leave to introduce
a bylaw to appoint an assessor for the yeo.r 1912
Leave granted and bylaw read a first time.

33 of bylaw No 10 be suspended for that purpose
