The third meeting of the Town CoJIDcil was held in the Council Room
on Friday evening January 27th, the follihwing members being present;-
Mayor Baldwin, Reeve Knowles and Councillors Bassett, Murray,
Scrivener, Staples and Steele.

Minutes of the last two meetings read and confirmed.
A communication was received and read from Mr G. 1'1. Baldwin asking
the Council to fix a rental for the use of the Town Hall for the
young people of the town to hold an At Home.
Mr H, Filkins was heard by the Council asking to have the i:'ool
Room lienee transferred from J. Milson tor:1 himself also for the prive
lege to put a fifth pool table in the room at the same J.icense fee.
Bills were received from the following persons;-Namely,
The Clerk, Election expenses,
Guarantee Company, Premiun on treas
Stiver Brothers, Coal for Petch
J. E. Kennedy. Coal for Town Hall
B, F. Davis, Wood for Town Hall

Moved by Dr ::lcrivener seconded by I:r Bassett that the applicatin
of I[r G. W. Baldwin on behalf of the young people of Aurora for the
use of the Town Hall be left in the htinds of the Ways & !fleans Committe
to be dealt with at once

!.loved by Ilr Bassett seconded by r,:r Steele that the following bills
be paid, that the r,:ayor issue orders on the Treasurer for the same
and that the sael of the Corporation be attached to this resolution

The committee recommended that the firsbnamed on each Committee be
chairman of the committee.
The report was adopted by the Council•
Leave was asked to introduce By-I.aws to borrow money to meet the
current expenditure of the municipality until the taxes were paid
and to appoint an Lssessor for the year I9II/
Leave granted and bylaws read a first time,
IJoved by l·~r Bassett seconded by Dr Scrivener that the bylaws now
before the Council be read as second and third time this day that rule
33 of bylaw no IO be suspended for that purpose
Carried.
Bylaws read a second time and council went into committee of the
whole on the same Dr Scrivener in the Chair.
Committee rose and reported bylaws wi1;h blanks filled.
By-Lawsread a third time and passed.
Council Adjourned to meet at the call of the Mayor.
