The sixth meeting of the Council for I9IO was held on Tuesday even
ing, April I2th the following members being present;-Viz
Mayor Baldwin, Reeve Knowles and Councillors Brodie, Bassett, Murray,
Scrivener, Stephenson and Towns.
Minutes of last meeting read and confirmed.
Communications from the Canadian oil Company and the !oronto Oil Co.
were received and read in regard to oil for Oilimg .the streets to
lay the dust.
Bills were received from the following persons:-
George Davis. unloading two cars of coal
James lobertson & Co, pipe &ct
The Stickney Coal Go. car of coal

Moved by ll~r Bassett seconded by Mr Brodie that the following bills
be paid that the :.layor issue orders on the Treasurer for the same and
that the seal of the Corporation be attached to this Resolution;-

Moved by Br Scrivener seconded by Mr Bassett that Mr Knowles be and
is hereby instructed to purchase a cart and harness from Mr Machell
for use of the Town and that the seal of the Corporation EBKXS be
attached to this resolution.
Carried.
Moved b7 Mr Knowles seconded tw MrMurray that the following be a ' .
committee to engage one or more constables to patrol the streets from
seven o'clock in the evening until twelve o'clock midnight, Councillors
Brodie Scrivener and the Mayor.
Carried.
Sixth meeting continued.
Moved by Mr Bassett seconded by ll1r Murray that the account of the
Clerk amounting to Eight Dollars in payment of deputations expenses
to Toronto Re Artesian Wells Legislative Committee be paid and that
the Mayor issue orders on the 'fJreasurer for the same and that the seal
of the Corporation be attached to this resolution.
Carried.
Moved by Dr Sari ve.ner seconded by Mr Brodie that the Mayor,
Reeve and Mr Bassett be a oonnmittee to go to Toronto and investigate
the oilf for roads and report to this Council any information which
may bE received on the matter and that the seal of the Corporation
be attached to this resolution/
Carried.
Moved by Dr Sorivenet seconded by Mr Stephenson that Chief Petch
and his assistant Mr Dunham be and are hereby instructed to lay infor
mation against any owner of a dog in this Municipality found running
at large without a muzzle amd that the Clerk be ani is hereby instructd
to notify Chief Petch and Mr Dunham to this effect.
Carried.
Council then Adjourned to meet at the call of the Mayor.
