The eleventh meeting of the Council for I909 was held on Eonday evengng
June 7th? the following members being present, Mayor Baldwin Reeve
Knowles and Councillors Bond, Bassett, ll'llz•=il=i=e~r ,Delahaye, Hastings
and :~Q.uerrie. The Mayor in the chair.
Minutes of last meeting read and confirmed.
A communication was ereceved from the Canadian Fire Underwriters L
Association giving a detailed account of the inspection of the fire
fighting appliances of ~he town.

The Clerk presented an agreement between himself and the town regarding
the tipewriter recently purchased for the use of the Clerk which
was accepted as satisfactory.
Leave was asked to introduce a bylaw to borrow money to meet the our
J C!J rent expenditure until the taxes are paii
Leave granted and bylaw read a first time.
!.loved by Mr Knowles seconded by l1lr Bond that the bylaw now beforethe
Council be read a second and third time this day that rule 33 of
bylaw No IO be suspended for that purpose.
Carried.
Bylaw read a second time and Council went into committee of the whole
on the same Mr Hastings in the chair/
Committee rose and reported bylaw with blank filled with
the sum of $3000.00
Bylaw read a third time and passed ~ ~
