Mi•utes of the last two meeti:Q.gs read and confirmed. Communications were received and read from: Mrs J?etoh asking some repairs to be made to the water works house, Joseph Harvey stating he would be here as soon as possible to put down the new artesian well. The Clerk laid on the table the AUditors report of the Municipal and School accounts for the year !909. Tenders for street wateri:(l§! were received from: W. L. Banbury at $!0.00 per week? A. E. Machell at $I2.00, and B. Ft Davis at $J:o,oo, A petition was received from Thomas Sisman and !2 others asking the Council to open the drain from the corner of Larmont and !Jloeley Streets to Wells street and charge a frontage tax for the same. I ,]d) .._ ______ _ Moved by Mr Base61114l eeconded by rJr Delahaye that the Mayor, Reeve and Oouncillor Browuing be and are hereby appointed a Committee to see the parties through which the proposed drain may run and also see after the legal end of the matter and that the seal of the Corporation be attached to this resolution. Carried. Moved by Mr Browning seconded by Mr Delahaye that the Clerk be and is hereby authorized aD,d instructed to prepare a bylaw to borrow upon the special issue of Debentures bearing interest at 5 per cent payable annually for twenty years the sum of $3600, the floating debt of Corporation also a bylaw to borrow upon the special issue of Debentures bearing interest at 5 percent payable annually for twenty years the sum of $!200 to pay the. cost of constructing and sinking another artesian Well. Carried. Leave was asked to intrmduce a bylaw to appoint a court of revision for !909. $eave granted ani Bylaw read a first time. Moved by Mr Bassett seconded b$ Mr Delaha.ye that the bylaw now before the Council be read a second and third time this day and that rule 33 -of bylaw fio IO be suspended for that purpose. Carried. Bylaw read a second timev and Council went into committee of the whole on the same Mr Querrie in the chair. Committee rose and reported bylaw with blanks filled. Bylawread a third time and passed. Council adjourned to meet at the call of the Mayor. ~·~
