Re: Wells Street Schoolhouse Lofts Inc. 64 Wells St. (Files D09-01-12 & D14-06-12)
We hereby submit the following concerns/ objections regarding the Wells Street Schoolhouse Lofts Inc.
Submission
1. Privacy — None. With the addition of 2 storeys on the original building as well as a 1 storey
mezzanine addition on the back newer addition to the school as well as what looks to be
balconies facing our yard we will have no privacy what so ever.
2. Possible Structural Damage- being done by construction of the proposed addition to our home.
3. New Privacy Fence This plan we received in the mail does not show a new fence being
proposed but we are assuming a new privacy fence would need to be installed to stop vehicle
headlights from shining into our yard and home. Removal of the chain link fence would be
unadvisable as it would damage existing trees/ plants that a part of our gardens and yard.
4. New Trees/ shrubs- We would ask for consideration on added cleanup in our yard from leaves,
branches etc.
5. Removal of Existing Mature Trees One of the trees is a memorial tree. Objection to removal of
any mature trees.
6. Asbestos- With the age of the school there is a good possibility that asbestos exists and will
need to be removed and done so with proper care before any construction begins for the safety
of the residents in the area.
7. House numbers and descriptions for homes on Mosley St. are incorrect.
8. We never received notice in the mail as did our neighbors.
We request notification of all adoption or refusal pertaining to the above mentioned property.

Re: Wells Street Schoolhouse Lofts Inc. 64 Wells St. (Files D09-01-12 & D14-06-12)
We hereby submit the following concerns/ objections regarding the Wells Street Schoolhouse Lofts Inc.
Submission
1. Privacy— None. With the addition of 2 storeys on the original building as well as a 1 storey
mezzanine addition on the back newer addition to the school as well as what looks to be
balconies facing our yard and existing in -ground pool we will have no privacy what so ever.
2. Possible Structural Damage- being done by construction of the proposed addition to our 100
year old home as well as in -ground pool
3. New Privacy Fence- This plan we received in the mail does not show a new fence being
proposed but we are assuming a new privacy fence would need to be installed to stop vehicle
headlights from shining into our yard and home. Removal of the chain link fence would be
unadvisable as it would damage existing trees/ plants that a part of our gardens and yard.
4. New Trees/ shrubs- The plan we received contains no information of the types of trees/ shrubs
it is showing on the drawing but consideration will need to be given on this as any trees with a
root system or nuts dropping from trees could potentially do damage to our existing in -ground
pool. As well we would ask for consideration on added cleanup in our yard and pool from leaves,
branches etc.
5. Security Lighting: The existing lighting that was installed once the property was purchased has
been an issue already due to power outages causing the motion sensor lighting to change to
being lit 24hrs a day, every day which lights up our home all night long. Consideration would
have to be given to the addition of more lighting outside the building for the parking
area/entrances etc.
6. Carport Construction -The plan we received does not show the footage away from the property
line which should be 4 feet. As well it does not show what sort of roofing there will be nor the
height of the carports. If the roof is slanted towards our property this will result in water/ snow
runoff issues. Will there be drainage added for this?
7. Paving of Parking Area- This will result in nowhere.for water/ snow to runoff. Will drainage
issues be addressed?
8. Removal of Existing Mature Trees One of the trees is a memorial tree. Objection to removal of
any mature trees.
9. Asbestos- With the age of the school there is a good possibility that asbestos exists and will
need to be removed and done so with proper care before any construction begins for the safety
of the residents in the area.
10. House numbers and descriptions for homes on Mosley St. are incorrect.
