A BY-LAW TO PROVIDE FOR THE SUBMISSION OF A CERTAIN QUESTION FOR THE
ASSENT OF THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF THE TOWN OF AURO:RA'j AND TO APPOINT
A DAY ON WmCH TO TAKE A VOTE THEREON, AND ro NAME THE PLACES WHERE THE
VOTES ARE TO BE TAKEN, AND TO APPOINT DEPUTY RETUllNING OFFICERS TO TAKE
THE VOTES AT EVERY SUCH BLACE;
WHEREAS the Council of the corporation of the
Town of Aurora deems it advisable to submit to the vote of the electors
of the Corporatio~~qualified to vote on money by-laws, a question as to
whether the said electors are in favour of securing a supply of electrical
power or energy from The HYdro-Electric Power Gommission of Ontario.
NOW THEREFORE THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION
OF THE TOWN OF AURORA ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
l. That the following question be submitted to the
electors of the Corporation qualified to vote on money by-laws, that is
to say: -~Are you in favour of securing a supply of electrical power or
energy from The HYdro-Electric Power Commission of Ontario"?
2. That the votes of the said electors on the said question
shall be taken at the same time and at the same places as at the next
annual election for the Municipal Council and by Deputy Returning Officers and
Poll Clerks appointed to take the vote at the next annual election.
3. A statement of the said question, and the notice re-
quired by Section 280 of The Municipal Act shall be published in the following
newspaper on the days hereinafter mentioned, that is to say:

Tenth, Seventeenth and Twenty-fourth days of December, 1942.

On the ,J 3 -:7 day of December, 1942, at the hour of
eleven O'clock in the forenoon, the Mayor of the said Co~oration, or some
member of the said Council appointed for that purpose by resolutiqn, shall

attend at the Council Chamber in the said Municipality and, if requested
so to do, shall appoint in writing signed by him, two persons to attend
at the final summing up of the votes of the Clerk, and one person to
attend at each polling place on behalf of the persons voting in the affir-
mative on the f!_a'id question, and a like number on behalf of the persons
voting in the negative on the said question,
5, The Fifth day of January, 1942, at the Town Clerk's
Office in the said Municipality at the hour of eleven o'oloclt in the
forenoon, is hereby appointed as the time and place for summing up by
the Clerk of this Corporation of the number of Votes given in the affirm-
ative and in the negative, respectively,

You are hereby authorized and directed to levy
upon the lands as described and listed below, the arrears of taxes
due thereon and all costs and charges authorized by Statute in that
behalf, and to proceed in the sale for the said arrears of taxes and
costs as the law directs,
