COUNCIL MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE: Councillor Weller in the Chair;
Mayor West, Councillors Jones,
Mcintyre, McKenzie, Ochalski,
Pedersen and Timpson.
Councillor Stewart absent due to
Government business.
STAFF MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE: Chief Administrative Officer, Clerk,
Director of Building Administration,
Director of Leisure Services.
DECLARATION OF CONFLICT OF INTEREST
There were no disclosures of Interest under the Municipal Conflict of
Interest Act, 1983.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
#1. Moved by Councillor Mcintyre Seconded by Mayor West
THAT the content of the Agenda as circulated by the Clerk's
Department be approved as outlined herein.
AMENDMENT -Upon the question of the adoption of the recommendation, it
was:

THAT the correspondence received from "GO Transit" be added to the
Agenda.

THAT the extra morning bus route be discontinued at the end of the
current school year. Transit Service to be re-evaluated in
November, 1990.

THAT the present Blue Box Program be given a tria 1 peri ad before
any further education process i.e., newsletter, is proceeded with.

THAT the Regi anal Municipality of York Engineering Department be
requested to negotiate with Metro Toronto for the opening of the
Keele Valley Land Site to receive hazardous wastes at no cost to
residents.

THAT the remaining portions of the Report be referred to the
Environment Committee as outlined in the Report.

John G. West, Mayor re: Co-op Housing Project, Coscan Development
#7. Moved by Councillor Pedersen Seconded by Councillor Jones
THAT the Council of the Town of Aurora indicate to Coscan
Developments that this Council is in support of the Aurora Churches
sponsorship of the Co-op Housing Project.

GO Transit re: Parking Lot Expansion, Ross Street

THAT Staff negotiate with GO Transit for the leasing of .4 acres of
the Old Ross Street Road allowance for a GO Station parking lot
expansion.

BA90-005-138-Delegation of Plumbing Inspection Responsibilities

THAT area municipalities be asked for their opinions regarding this
matter and it be presented again for Council's consideration after
the information is received.

CL90-014-139 -Overnight Parking -Town Park
#10. Moved by Councillor Pedersen Seconded by Councillor Ochalski
i) THAT A By-law be prepared providing for "No Parking" between
1:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. on those portions of Wells Street,
Mosley Street, Metcalfe Street and Larmont Street, where they
abut the Town Park;
ii) THAT Council not proceed with allowing overnight parking by
permit, adjacent to the Town Park; and
iii} THAT there be no hourly parking restriction imposed on the
existing street parking surrounding the Town Park between
7:00 a.m. and 1:00 a.m. the next day.

LS90-013-140 -Designation of Park -Portion of Waterworks Property

THAT the Clerk be authorized to prepare a By-law through the
authority of the Municipal Act and the Public Parks Act, S.R.O.
1980, C.417 to declare a portion of the waterworks property a
public park.

THAT the concept of selected park naturalization pilot programs be
adopted by Council for publication in the Summer Activity Guide.
