Counci 11 ors Buck and Timpson were representing the Council at a Regional Meeting in Newmarket. Councillor Barker on vacation. CARRIED CORRESPONDENCE AND PETITIONS RECEIVED AS INFORMATION a) The Liquor Licence Board of Ontario re: Royal Canadian Le #385, 105 Industry Street North, Reclassification from Club Licence to Club (Dining Lounge) Licence b) Bell Canada re: Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications (CRTC) -Highlights of Rate Rebalancing Filing c) Terry O'Connor, M.P.P., Ontario Legislative Assembly, Chairman, Select Committee on Reta i 1 Store Hours re: public hearings on the issue of Sunday and Holiday openings DELEGATIONS Terry Rooney, President, Home-Aid re: Operation of Residential Real Estate Developers in the Town Mr. Terry Rooney, President of Home-Aid, supplied those present with preliminary results of a random survey undertaken by the organization dealing with several aspects of the new home purchasers' satisfaction with their builders within the Town of Aurora. Mr. Rooney encouraged the Town to make more information regarding the performance of the builders/developers public in an effort to better inform potential purchasers of their products. A networking of this information with other municipalities was also suggested. It was further requested that the Town incorporate provision in future subdivision agreements restricting the sale and servicing of subsequent phases of plans of subdivisions unti 1 those under construction are substantially complete. #7 Moved by Councillor Jones Seconded by Mayor West THAT the matter be referred to Unfinished Business for discussion. CARRIED Continuance of Commercial Development Advisory Committee Deferred from Council, Wednesday, January 7, 1987 #9 Moved by Councillor Jones Seconded by Mayor West THAT consideration of this matter be deferred until the comments of Mr. Stephen Lauer regarding the survey of Downtown Merchants have been received. CARRIED Terry Rooney, President, Home-Aid re: Operation of Residential Real Estate Developers in the Town #11 Moved by Councillor Jones Seconded by Councillor McKenzie THAT this matter be referred to staff for a report to be submitted within one (1) month incorporating any pertinent legal advice and addressing possible suggestions for proceeding with making information more accessible along the lines of the remarks made by Mr. Rooney in the text of his presentation. CARRIED NEW BUSINESS Councillor Weller-Education and Seminar Policy for Staff #12 Moved by Councillor Jones Seconded by Mayor West THAT the Chief Administrative Officer be directed to review the Educational Policy and the Conference Policy with respect to registration fees and expenses and that a clear policy regarding these matters be defined as a result. Councillor Jones moved that the question now be put.
