TO ASSESS FOR TOWN PURPOSES,COUNTY PUBLIC AND HIGH SCHOOL PURPOSES.AND FOR
I EBENTURES FOR THE HIGH SCHOOL,PAVEMENTS,ARENA,AND SEWERAGE SYSTEM.
~ v~rlEREAS it is the duty of all municipal councils to levy taxes upon all
rateable propert,for the purpose of financing ths business of the town:
ag1 AND WHEiillAS the total amom1:t of the assessment as determined by the last
· revision of the assessment rolls in November 1939 is $1605.88le00;
THEREFORE THE JIIDNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AURORA
ENACTS AS FOLLCWill:
That there shall be levied and collected to be used for general town purp-
oses the sum of $993D.9~ ,such sum being provided for by a rate of 6.18@0 mills
in the dollar of the property rated in the Assessment l:i.oll for this municipality
for the year 1940.
That a further sum of ~?7517 .14 be levied and collected from the property at?! ra.ted in the said Roll for County purposes,such sum being provided by a rate of
4.6810 mills in the dollar of the property rated in the said Rolle
3 .1'hat a further sum of ~?15000 .oo be levied and collected from the property
rated in the .said Roll for J:'ublic School purposes.such sum being provided by a
rate of 9.3407 mills in the dollar of the property rated in the .siad Roll.

t1 lila ted in the said Roll for High School purposes, such sum being provided by a rate
of 3.8608 mills in the dollar of the property rated in the said Roll.

15.'l'hat a special ra.te per foot be set out in the Collector's .tioll for this
municipality for the year 1940 ,in the schedules attached,for the frontage t,x
under the Local Improvement Act,on all properties fronting on pavements,and be
incorporated in the Collector's :tl.oll,and be collected at t..>J.e same time and in the
sarae manner as other rates are collected.
l6oThat a special. rate per :foot in accordance with the decisions of the Court
of Hevision held to determine the frontage rates on the bewerage System ,for the
t(~~-ratepayers share of the cost of the said system,be set out and attached th the

same manner as other rates are collected.
17.That a special rate per foot be set out and attached to the schedules in·
the Collector's. l'l.oll for this municipality for the year 1940 according to the
established custom and rate,af twa cents per foot on all properties,in front of
or adjoining which,the street was dressed with oil•
l8aTha t it shall be the duty of the Clerk to place on the tax bills when prep-
ared for delivery,for the current year,all arrears of taxes and all lawful addit-
ions thereto,of property,and it shall be the duty of the Collector to collect
such arrears and and additions at the same time and in the same manner as other
taxes are collected as provided by law.
19.That it shall be the duty of the Clerk to place an the Collector's Roll
for this municipality for the current year,the names of all male residents who
are liable for Poll fax under the Statute Labor Act,and the Bylaw of this Corp-
oration giving effect thereto,and it shall be the duty of the Collector to
collect such Poll '.i.'ax at the time specified by law.
