1. Call to Order
The Chair called the meeting to order at 10:02 a.m.
2. Land Acknowledgement
The Committee acknowledged that the meeting took place on Anishinaabe lands,
the traditional and treaty territory of the Chippewas of Georgina Island,
recognizing the many other Nations whose presence here continues to this day,
the special relationship the Chippewas have with the lands and waters of this
territory, and that Aurora has shared responsibility for the stewardship of these
lands and waters. It was noted that Aurora is part of the treaty lands of the
Mississaugas and Chippewas, recognized through Treaty #13 and the Williams
Treaties of 1923.

3. Approval of the Agenda

That the agenda as circulated by Legislative Services be approved.

4. Declarations of Pecuniary Interest and General Nature Thereof
There were no declarations of pecuniary interest under the Municipal Conflict of
Interest Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. M.50.
5. Appeals for Consideration
5.1 11 Fife Road - Order to Comply CE20261174
The Chair provided an overview of the hearing process. James Gagnon,
Bylaw Enforcement and Licensing Officer/Town Case Presenter provided
a synopsis of attendance to the property and communication with the
property owner leading to the issuance of the Order to Comply on June 17,
2026.
The Appellant provided an overview of concerns with the previous tenant,
financial constraints currently experienced as they undertake extensive
repairs to the interior of the property, and their expectation to complete
exterior repairs by spring of 2027.
The Committee recessed the hearing to deliberate at 10:24 a.m. and
reconvened the hearing at 10:38 a.m.

1. That the Property Standards Committee upholds the Order to Comply
CE20261174 in its entirety, and
2. That the Appellant be granted an extension until December 18, 2026 to
comply with the Order.
