' I 7"''l."ue~ ( ) Referred· Dater:.zw{ytz Meeting/Page dl,h1 · Initial · c</ RECOMMENDATIONS THAT Council accept the municipal services contained within Phase 1 of Registered Plan 65M-3123 (Bayview-Vandorf Subdivision}, including the external water booster pumping station; and THAT the Director of Public Works be authorized to issue a Certificate of Acceptance of Public Works for said services as required under Section 3.12 of the Subdivision Agreement. BACKGROUND This subdivision was serviced under a Subdivision Agreement executed by the Town of Aurora and 999556 Ontario Limited on November 1, 1996. The maintenance period, as set out in the terms of the Subdivision Agreement, has expired for the registered plan noted. Public Works staff have reviewed all inspection reports for the subject part of the development and are satisfied that the municipal roads and services are in good condition and have been completed in accordance with the terms of the Subdivision Agreement. COMMENTS The subject subdivision agreement included three distinct areas of development: • Phase 1 -Monkman Court • Phase 2 -Benville Crescent • Water Booster Pumping Station (external to the site) July 18, 2000 -2 -Report No. PW00-037 This report deals with Phase 1 and the water booster pumping station. All public services have been competed and the respective maintenance periods have expired. All deficiencies have been rectified to the satisfaction of the Public Works Department. The water pumping station has been operating for some time and is serving the residents in this area and accordingly, it is included for assumption at this time. Security in an amount sufficient to ensure the proper completion of Phase 2 will continue to be held by the Town until such time as Phase 2 is completed and assumed. These funds are sufficient to secure any minor items in Phase 1 and the water booster pumping station that may need to be undertaken. OPTIONS Council may wish not to assume the subject services at this time. CONCLUSIONS The services for the Bayview-Vandorf Subdivision Phase 1 as shown on the Key Map including the booster pumping station, can be assumed at this time. All relevant inspection reports have been reviewed and deficiencies rectified to the satisfaction of the Public Works Department. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS The Town will, upon issuance of the Certificate of Acceptance of Public Works, be responsible for all future operational and maintenance costs for the municipal services within the specified area. Securities sufficient to ensure the proper completion of Phase 2 (Benville Crescent) and minor items in Phase 1 including the water booster pumping station will be retained by the Town until such time as Phase 2 is assumed. DESCRIPTION OF STREETS IN WHICH PUBLIC WORKS ACCEPTED ARE LOCATED AS PER REGISTERED PLAN 65M-3123: Monkman Court and external water booster pumping station The undersigned hereby certifies that the Public Works, described above, have been installed in accordance with the requirements of the Town of Aurora's specifications and the above noted agreement and that all municipal departments have been informed of this matter. I further certify that the maintenance period, as stipulated in the agreement, has expired, and that all deficiencies have been rectified to the Town's satisfaction, and that requirements for final acceptance as set out in Sections 3.11 and 3.12 have been complied with.
