Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 6:10 p.m. The Committee agreed to waive Section 9.1 of the Rules of Practice and Procedure and conduct the hearing electronically. 2. Approval of the Agenda The Committee approved the agenda as circulated. 3. Declarations of Pecuniary Interest and General Nature Thereof There were no declarations of pecuniary interest under the Municipal Conflict of Interest Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. M.50 4. Appeals for Consideration 4.1 204 Orchard Heights Boulevard - Order to Comply CE20213068 2 The Chair called the meeting to order and provided an overview of the hearing. Mario Munguia, Case Presenter for the Town, noted that the violation in the Order to Comply relating to the roof of the building has been remediated. He confirmed that the only outstanding violation in the Order to Comply is the peeling and chipping paint on the garage door, noting that the Town is in favour of granting an extension for remediation to allow for time to paint in warmer weather. The Appellant requested an extension for compliance noting that exterior paint cannot be applied in winter months. He also requested that a lien not be placed on his property after the January 31 compliance date should the extension be granted. Evidence was submitted by the Town and Appellant but not entered as there was agreement between the two parties regarding the time extension for compliance. The Committee recessed the hearing to deliberate at 6:39 p.m. and reconvened the hearing at 6:46 p.m. Moved by Steven D'Angeli Seconded by Daniel Lajeunesse 1. That the Property Standards Committee upholds Order to Comply CE 202113068 in its entirety; and 2. That the Appellant be granted an extension until July 1, 2022 in order to comply with Item 2; and 3. That no lien or financial privilege may be considered with respect to the Appellant’s property until such time that the aforementioned extension has expired. Carried 5.
