1. Call to Order
That the meeting be called to order at 7:01PM.
2. Land Acknowledgement
The Town of Aurora acknowledges that the Anishinaabe (A-nishshaw-na-bee)
lands on which we live, and work are the traditional and treaty territory of the
Chippewas of Georgina Island, as well as many other Nations whose presence here
continues to this day. As the closest First Nation community to Aurora, we
recognize the special relationship the Chippewas have with the lands and waters
of this territory. They are the water protectors and environmental stewards of these
lands, and as a municipality we join them in these responsibilities.

We further acknowledge that Aurora is part of the treaty lands of the Mississaugas
and Chippewas, recognized through Treaty #13 as well as the Williams Treaties of
1923.

6. Presentation of Applications
6.1 MV-2023-35 - Loureiro - 26 Steeplechase Ave
The applicant is requesting relief from the requirements of the Town’s
Comprehensive Zoning By-law 6000-17, as amended, to facilitate the
relocation of an existing driveway further east and away from the
intersection of Hunters Glen Road and Steeplechase Avenue.
The following relief is being requested:
Section 14.1.2 (ii) of the Zoning By-law states no development or site
alteration shall occur on that portion of said lot that is within a potential key
natural heritage feature without an amendment to or relief from the Zoning
By-law;

1. Section 14.1.3 (i) of the Zoning By-law states no development or site
alteration shall occur on that portion of the lot that contains a
minimum vegetation protection zone without an amendment to or
relief from the Zoning By-law; and
2. Section 14.1.4 (i) of the Zoning By-law states no development or site
alteration shall occur on that portion of the lot that contains a
significant woodland without amendment to or relief from the
Zoning By-law.
The Chair invited the Applicant or Owner to address the Committee. In
attendance was the Agent Michael Da Silva. The Agent provided a brief
introduction to their application.
The Chair invited members of the public to provide comments. There were
no public delegates in attendance for this application.
The Committee inquired with the applicant regarding their tree removals
and tree replanting specifications. The committee also inquired about the
design of the driveway and whether it meets road standards and
requirements.

6.2 MV-2023-34 - 2352107 Ontario Inc. - 1588 St. John's Sideroad
The Town’s Planning Department is requesting a deferral of this application
to allow for additional time to review the Preliminary Zoning Review with the
applicant.

That the Minor Variance MV-2023-34 be DEFERRED.
6.3 C-2023-05 - 2352107 Ontario Inc. - 1588 St. John's Sideroad, Block 1 & 2
The proposed consent application is to sever the merge the subject lands
as follows (see Appendix ‘C’ Draft R-Plan):

1. Proposed Retained Lands:
a. Part 1 of the Draft R-Plan (eastern portion of Block 1, 65M-4790)
b. Part 4 of the Draft R-Plan (western portion of Block 2, 65M-
4790)
2. Proposed Severed Lands:
a. Part 2 of the Draft R-Plan (eastern portion of Block 1, 65M-4790)
b. Part 3 of the Draft R-Plan (western portion of Block 2, 65M-
4790)
Once severed, the Owner intends to merge the two proposed severed
lands to create a new block described as Block 1A (Appendix “C”).
The Chair invited the Applicant or Owner to address the Committee. In
attendance were the Agents Anna Rita Papa and Paul Bailey. The Agents
provided a brief introduction to their application.
The Chair invited members of the public to provide comments. There were
no public delegates in attendance for this application.
The Committee has no comments or concerns regarding this application.
