Call to Order The Mayor called the meeting to order at 5:46 p.m. Council consented to resolve into a Closed Session at 5:46 p.m. Council reconvened into open session at 6:20 p.m. The Chief Administrative Officer was delegated the duties of the Clerk and assumed the role at 6:17 p.m. 2. Approval of the Agenda Moved by Councillor Thompson Seconded by Councillor Weese Council Closed Session Public Meeting Minutes Tuesday, May 16, 2023 2 That the confidential Council Closed Session agenda be approved with the following addition: 2. Personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees (Section 239(2)(c) of the Municipal Act, 2001); Re: Verbal Update from the CAO Carried 3. Declarations of Pecuniary Interest and General Nature Thereof There were no declarations of pecuniary interest under the Municipal Conflict of Interest Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. M.50. 4. Consideration of Items Requiring Discussion Moved by Councillor Gallo Seconded by Councillor Kim That Council resolve into a Closed Session to consider the following matters: 1. Litigation or potential litigation, including matters before administrative tribunals, affecting the municipality or local board (Section 239(2)(e) of the Municipal Act, 2001); Re: Council Closed Session Report No. CS23-037 – Minor Variance Appeal – 17 Hawthorne Lane 2. Personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees (Section 239(2)(c) of the Municipal Act, 2001); Re: Verbal Update from the CAO Carried 4.1 Council Closed Session Report No. CS23-037 - Minor Variance Appeal - 17 Hawthorne Lane Litigation or potential litigation, including matters before administrative tribunals, affecting the municipality or local board (Section 239(2)(e) of the Municipal Act, 2001) Moved by Councillor Weese Seconded by Councillor Thompson Council Closed Session Public Meeting Minutes Tuesday, May 16, 2023 3 1. That Council Closed Session Report No. CS23-037 - Minor Variance Appeal - 17 Hawthorne Lane be received; and 2. That the confidential direction to staff be confirmed. That the Verbal Update from the Chief Administrative Officer be received for information.
