PL11-019 – Draft Plan of Subdivision and Zoning By-law Pg. 1 Amendment Applications Genview II 908 Vandorf Sideroad Files: D12-04-07 and D14-12-07 RECOMMENDED: THAT the Public Planning Meeting report for Draft Plan of Subdivision and Zoning Amendment Applications, Genview II, Files: D12-04-07 and D14-12-07, be received; and THAT comments presented at the Public Planning Meeting be addressed by the Planning and Development Services Department in a comprehensive report outlining recommendations and options at a future General Committee Meeting. ADDITIONAL ITEM FOR SPECIAL COUNCIL - PUBLIC PLANNING MEETING Wednesday, March 23, 2011 ➢ New Item 2 Correspondence from Barbara and Tony Alexander Re: Item 1 — PL11-019 — Draft Plan of Subdivision and Zoning By-law Amendment Applications Genview II 908 Vandorf Sideroad Files: D12-04-07 and D14-12-07 RECOMMENDED: THAT the correspondence from Barbara and Tony Alexander be received for information. RE GLENVIEW II (File D13-12=07 and D12-04-07 We would like to make the following submission as requested in your form letter dated Marchl, 2011. We have the following concerns regarding this development: • Maintenance of topography to avoid further impact on river • Long term effects of any changes made to the drainage of surface water • Long term effects of any changes made to the drainage of subsurface water • Back up of the sewage system • Concern re sewage seepage into stream • Erosion • Introduction of non indigenous species into public areas • Increased potential for flooding • Localised landslides due to reconfiguration of slopes • Destruction of wildlife habitat • Endangerment of rare species • Conservation of the buffer zone We would also request that the developer be required to provide a proposed Architectural Control Guideline for public comment and review before acceptance by the Town. Please arrange for us to have the opportunity to comment further regarding the issues identified above (and any others that may affect either us or the environment) at the appropriate times.
