Memorandum from Director of Infrastructure & Environmental Services pg. 32 Re: Deferral of By-law Number 5590-14 – Collection of Solid Waste and Recyclable Materials RECOMMENDED: THAT the memorandum regarding Deferral of By-law Number 5590-14 – Collection of Solid Waste and Recyclable Materials be received for information. Deferred from Council meeting of July 15, 2014 – Item 20 6. Memorandum from Mayor Geoffrey Dawe pg. 33 Re: Recipients of the 2014 Town of Aurora Student Academic Achievement Awards RECOMMENDED: THAT the memorandum regarding Recipients of the 2014 Town of Aurora Student Academic Achievement Awards be received for information. 7. IES14-040 – Assumption of Municipal Services – Preserve Homes pg. 34 Subdivision – Phase 2 Subdivision; and Part of Phase 1, M-Plan 65M-3852 RECOMMENDED: THAT report IES14-040 be received; and THAT Council assume ownership, operation and maintenance of the works within the roads, rights-of-way, and other lands dedicated to the Town contained within Plans 65M-3945 and 65M-3946 being Preserve Homes Subdivision Phase 2 and Plan 65M-3852 being Preserve Homes Subdivision Phase 1 as detailed in report IES14-040; and THAT staff bring forward a by-law for Council’s enactment to assume for public use the highways within Plan 65M-3945, 65M-3946 and 65M-3852 and to establish as public highway any applicable reserves. PL14-048 – Servicing Allocation Update 2014 pg. 45 RECOMMENDED: THAT report PL14-048 be received for information. 10. PL14-055 – Proposed Plan of Subdivision, File D12-06-12 pg. 49 Edenbrook (Aurora) Inc. 929 St. John’s Sideroad, Part of Lot 25, Concession 2 RECOMMENDED: THAT report PL14-055 be received; and THAT the application for Draft Plan of Subdivision D12-06-12 (Edenbrook (Aurora) Inc.) be approved, subject to the conditions outlined in Schedule ‘A’ of this report; and THAT the Mayor and Town Clerk be authorized to execute a Subdivision Agreement, including any and all documents and all of the Agreements referenced in the Conditions of Approval, including any ancillary agreements required to give effect to same; and THAT a total of 42 units of water and sewage capacity be allocated to the Draft Plan of Subdivision. 11. PR14-035 – Urban Forest Study (UFORE) pg. 91 RECOMMENDED: THAT report PR14-035 be received; and THAT Council direct staff to report back to the incoming Council in 2015 with a further report detailing the implementation of each of the recommendations contained in the Urban Forestry Study (UFORE) Report including the associated financial implications; and Council Meeting Agenda Tuesday, July 29, 2014 Page 7 of 7 THAT the final draft of the UFORE Study be posted on the Town of Aurora website for public review and comment and that any comments received be summarized and included in the report to Council. 12. PR14-036 – Additional Complement Request – Curator pg. 101 RECOMMENDED: THAT report PR14-036 be received; and THAT Council approve the increased permanent full-time complement of the Parks and Recreation Services Department by one, for the position of Curator. 13. HAC14-07 – Heritage Advisory Committee Report, July 14, 2014 pg. 105 RECOMMENDED: THAT report HAC14-07 be received; and THAT Council adopt the following recommendation from the Heritage Advisory Committee meeting of July 14, 2014: 1. HAC14-018 – Request to Remove a Property from the Aurora Register of Properties of Cultural Heritage Value or Interest, 95 Wellington Street East THAT the property located at 95 Wellington Street East be removed from the Aurora Register of Properties of Cultural Heritage Value or Interest as it was determined not to be of significant cultural heritage value as per the Evaluation Working Group Report; and THAT the owners of the subject property hold a site visit with members of the Heritage Advisory Committee to determine the potential availability of items as part of the Aurora Architectural Salvage Program.
