By-law Number 5983-17
Being a By-law to amend By-law Number 5900-16, to
establish a schedule of fees and charges for municipal services,
activities and the use of property within the Town of Aurora
(Fees and Charges By-law).
Whereas subsection 391(1) of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c. 25 as amended,
authorizes a municipality to impose fees and charges on persons (a) for services or
activities provided or done by or on behalf of it; (b) for costs payable by it for services or
activities provided or done by or on behalf of any other municipality or any local board;
and (c) for the use of its property including property under its control;
And whereas on November 22, 2016, the Council of The Corporation of the Town of
Aurora (the "Town") enacted By-law Number 5900-16, to establish a schedule of fees
and charges for municipal services, activities and the use of property within the Town of
Aurora;
And whereas on March 28, 2017, the Council of the Town passed a resolution
contained in Report No. PRCS17-007 to amend By-law Number 5900-16, the Fees and
Charges By-law, to adopt various fee/charge amendments, as set out in Schedule "D" —
Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services;
And whereas on April 11, 2017, the Council of the Town passed a resolution contained
in Report No. CS17-001 to amend By-law Number 5900-16, the Fees and Charges By-
law, to adopt a new Town Hall — Equipment Support fee/charge, as set out in Schedule
"D" — Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services;
And whereas the Council of the Town deems it necessary and expedient to amend the
fees and charges for municipal services, activities and the use of property within the
Town of Aurora;
Now therefore the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Aurora hereby enacts
as follows:
Schedule "D" — Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services to By-law Number 5900-
16 be and is hereby deleted and replaced with Schedule "D" — Parks, Recreation
and Cultural Services attached hereto and forming part of this By-law.
2. This By-law shall come into full force and effect on May 15, 2017.
Enacted by Town of Aurora Council this 9th day of May, 2017.
