BYLAW - Stop up and Close (Vandorf Rd.) - 20010911 - 429701TTHE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AURORA By-law Number 4297-01. T BEING A BY-LAW to stop up and close a portion of Vandorf Road in the Town of Aurora. WHEREAS the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chap. M.45, as amended authorizes the Council of a local municipality to pass by-laws for the stopping up and closing of highways; AND WHEREAS the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the Town of Aurora deems it necessary and expedient to stop up and close a portion of Vandorf Sideroad; AND WHEREAS the provision of the Municipal Act has been complied with; NOW THEREFORE THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AURORA ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. THAT the lands described in Schedule "A" hereto (the "Road") be stopped up and closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic. 2. THAT the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to execute all documentation in connection with the stopping up and closing of the Road. 3. THAT Schedule "B" attached hereto is a form of affidavit to be sworn by the Clerk setting out the procedures taken for publishing notice of this road closure pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Act. 4. THAT the provisions of this By-law shall come into force and effect upon third reading thereof, after a certified copy of this By-law has been registered in the Land Registry Office for the Land Registry Division of York Region (No. 65). I, Bob Panizza, of the Town of Aurora, in the Regional Municipality of York MAKE OATH AND SAY AS FOLLOWS: 1. I am the Town Clerk of the Corporation of the Town of Aurora (the "Town") and as such have knowledge of the matters hereinafter deposed to. 2. By-law No. 4297.T authorizing the stopping up and closing of the land described in Schedule "A" to this !?y-law (the "Road") was given three readings and enacted by the Town on the ~"clay of JC(}/Etf)firt, 2001. 3. The Town gave notice of the proposed stopping up and closing of the Road by publishing notices in the Era Banner newspaper on August 7, 14, 21 and 28, 2001.
