BEING A BY-LAW to repeal
a certain by-law to appoint a
Fire Chief for the Town of
Aurora.
WHEREAS Section 207, paragraph 45, of the Municipal Act R.S.O. 1990, c.M.45 (as amended)
authorizes Council to appoint such officers or employees as may be necessary for the purposes
of the Corporation or for carrying into effect any Act of the Legislature;
AND WHEREAS Council has, in By-law 3578-94.H, appointed Arnold Lee (Joe) Hunwicks to
be Fire Chief of the Town of Aurora;
AND WHEREAS it is now deemed expedient to repeal the provisions of the said By-law
respecting the appointment of Arnold Lee (Joe) Hunwicks as a result of his retirement;
NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the Town of Aurora
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
I. THAT By-law 3578-94.H enacted on the 28th day of September, 1994 respecting the
appointment of Fire Chief be and is hereby repealed;
3. THAT the provisions of this By-law shall come into force and take effect on July 31,
2000.
