BEING A BY-LAW to
dedicate certain lands as
public highways on
Registered Plan 514
forming part of Murray
Drive in the Town of
Aurora.
WHEREAS, the provisions of section 297 of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.M.45
(as amended) provide that Council may enact By-laws to establish and lay out lands as
public highways;
AND WHEREAS, the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the Town of Aurora
deems it expedient to dedicate certain lands and reserves as public highways;
NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the Town of Aurora
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT the land described as 1 foot reserve at the north end of Murray Drive on
Registered Plan 514 as in Instrument No. A28208A, be and is hereby dedicated
as a public highway forming a part of Murray Drive in the Town of Aurora.
2. THAT the provisions of this By-law shall come into force and effect upon fmal
passage thereof and following registration in the appropriate Land Registry office.
READ A FIRST AND SECOND TIME THIS 11TH DAY OF JANUARY, 2000.
READ A THIRD TIME AND FINALLY PASSED THIS 11TH DAY OF JANUARY,
2000.

Dedication of Certain Lands as Public Highway
Date: January 5, 2000
On November 29, 1999, the Town received a Subdivision Compliance request from
Bogart, Robertson & Chu on behalf of their clients who were purchasing the property
municipally known as 145 Murray Drive. The request included reference to a one foot
reserve across Murray Drive that the Town owned but never dedicated as public
highway. The reserve is currently being used as part of a Municipal road, and
therefore it is recommended that it be formally dedicated as public highway. In the
meantime, the Town's response to the request included permission from the Municipal
Clerk to cross the reserve until such time as the land is dedicated.
Accordingly, Staff are hereby recommending that By-law 4145-00.T be provided all
three readings at the January 11, 2000 Council Meeting.
