BEING A BY-LAW to
dedicate certain lands as
public highway on Reference
Plan 65R-21487 forming part
of Temperance Street.
WHEREAS, the provisions of section 297 of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.M.45 (as
amended) authorizes the Council of a local municipality to pass by-laws to establish and lay out
lands as public highways;
AND WHEREAS, the municipal Council of the Corporation of the Town of Aurora deems it
necessary and expedient to dedicate certain lands and reserves as public highways;
NOW THEREFORE THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE
TOWN OF AURORA ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT the land described as Part of Lot 23, Plan 9 as in B630B, designated as Part 3
on Reference Plan 65R-21487, in the Town of Aurora, Regional Municipality of York,
be and is hereby dedicated as a public highway forming a part of Temperance Street in
the Town of Aurora.
2. THAT the provisions of this By-law shall come into force and effect upon fmal passage
thereof and following registration in the appropriate Land Registry office.
READ A FIRST AND SECOND TIME THIS 2JN» DAY OF FEBRUARY, 2000.
READ A THIRD TIME AND FINALLY PASSED THIS 22ND DAY OF FEBRUARY, 2000.

Further to the attached request, please be advised that the by-law to dedicate Part 3 on Plan 65R-
21487 as public highway forming part of Temperance Street is expected to be considered by the
General Committee on February 29, 2000. If the Committee recommends all three readings of the
by-law, it will then be considered for adoption at the March 7, 2000 Council Meeting.
In the meantime, permission is hereby granted to the owners of the property municipally known as
92 Temperance Street, Aurora, for unrestricted and unlimited access of the lands until such time as
the dedication by-law has been registered. Failing lawful enactment of the by-law by the Municipal
Council and registration thereof within six (6) months of the date of this letter, the interim
permission granted by this letter shall expire.
Notification of Council's decision in this regard will be provided to your firm as soon as the by-law
is adopted. Upon receipt of the $50.00 fee previously requested, arrangements will be made to
register the by-law and return a duplicate registered copy to you for your files.

Further to your conversation with my secretary Kathy wherein you advised that the dedication
bylaw with respect to Part 3, Plan 65R-21487 would be completed between February 22 -
February 25, 2000, I enclose herewith cheque in the sum of $50.00 for registration of the said
bylaw. I am not sure why the purchasers have to pay for the registration as it is the Town's
responsibility that the owners of the lands have legal and unrestricted access to their property.
Please provide me with confirmation as soon as the bylaw has been registered.
