BEING A BY-LAW to dedicate
certain lands as public
highways on Reference Plan
65R-17862, 65R-21487, and
65R-20596 forming part of
Amberhill Way, Temperance
Street and Yonge Street in the
Town of Aurora.
WHEREAS, the provisions of section 297 of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.M.45 (as
amended) provide that Council may enact By-laws to establish and lay out lands as public
highways;
AND WHEREAS, the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the Town of Aurora
deems it expedient to dedicate certairi lands and reserves as public highways;
NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the Town of Aurora
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT the land described as Part of Lot 81, Concession I, E.Y.S., designated as
Parts 1 and 2 on Reference Plan 65R-17862, in the Town of Aurora, Regional
Municipality of York (in the geographic Township of Whitchurch), be and is hereby
dedicated as a public highway forming a part of Amberhill Way in the Town of
Aurora.
2. THAT the land described as Part of Lot 23, Plan 9, designated as Part 7 on
Reference Plan 65R-21487, in the Town of Aurora, Regional Municipality of York,
be and is hereby dedicated as a public highway forming a part of Temperance Street
in the Town of Aurora.
3. THAT the land described as Part of Block 59, Plan 65M-2034, designated as Parts
3 and 4, on Reference Plan 65R-20596, in the Town of Aurora, Regional
Municipality of York, be and is hereby dedicated as a public highway forming a part
of Y onge Street in the Town of Aurora.
4. THAT the provisions of this By-law shall come into force and effect upon final
passage thereof and following registration in the appropriate Land Registry office.
READ A FIRST AND SECOND TIME THIS 15TH DAY OF DECEMBER, 1999.

·Dedication of Certain Lands as Public Highway
Date: December 8, 1999
On December 16, 1998, Council authorized Staff to enter into an agreement for the
construction of a temporary turning circle in the Amberhill Subdivision. Since the
construction of the turning circle is now complete and it is currently being used as
part of a Municipal road, it should be formally dedicated as public highway.
In connection with Council's, previous authorization of certain quit claim deeds
required for the reconstruction of Temperance Street. Recently Staff registered one
of the quit claim deeds and since the lands are currently being used as part of a
Municipal road, the land should be formally dedicated as public highway.
Also, a road widening and daylight triangle at Yonge and Golf Links Drive were
previously transferred to the Town as a requirement of the Site Plan Agreement with
1265670 Ontario Limited (Armadale Properties). Since the lands are currently being
used as part of a Municipal road, they should be formally dedicated as public highway.
Accordingly, Staff are hereby recommending that By-law 4122-99. T be provided 1"
and 2"d reading at the December 15, 1999 Council Meeting, and subsequently 3'd
reading at the nuary 11, 1 999 Council Meeting.
