BYLAW - Case Woodlot Required for Forestry and Sale of Trees - 19991215 - 413499ETHE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AURORA By-law Number 4134-99.E BEING A BY-LAW to declare the Case Woodlot as being required for forestry purposes and to authorize the sale of trees therefrom . WHEREAS Section 12(b) of the Forestry Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chap. F.26, as amended, authorizes the Council of a local municipality to pass by-laws for declaring that land owned by the municipality is required for forestry purposes; AND WHEREAS Section 12(d) of the Forestry Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chap. F.26, as amended, authorizes the Council of a local municipality to pass by-laws for the management of land for forestry purposes and the sale or other disposition of the trees thereon; NOW THEREFORE THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AURORA ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. THAT Part of Lot 75, Concession 1 formerly in the Township of King, now in the Town of Aurora, Regional Municipality of York, known as the Case Woodlot, being lands which are owned by the municipality, is hereby declared as being required for forestry purposes. 2. THAT the said Woodlot shall be managed in accordance with good forestry practices including the removal and sale of trees, from time to time, as approved by the resolution of Council. The provisions of this By-law shall come into force and take effect upon the final passage thereof and approval from the Minister of Natural Resources (Ontario).
