BYLAW - Repeal Composite Ballots By law 3309 91 - 19970625 - 384897ATHE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AURORA By-law Number 3848-97.A BEING A BY-LAW to repeal By-law 3309-91 to authorize the use of composite ballots in the 1991 Municipal Election and thereafter in the Town of Aurora. WHEREAS Section 41(4) of the Municipal Elections Act, S.O. 1996 provides authority that the Clerk shall determine whether separate or composite ballots shall be used for municipal election purposes; AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Aurora enacted By-law 3309-91 respecting the use of composite ballots; AND WHEREAS it is now deemed necessary and expedient to repeal By-law 3309-91 as a result of the provisions of the Municipal Elections Act, 1996; NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the Town of Aurora ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. That By-law 3309-91 enacted on the 28th day of August, 1991 respecting the use of composite ballots be and is hereby repealed. 2. That the provisions of this By-law shall come into force and effect upon third reading thereof. READ A FIRST AND SECOND TIME THIS 25TH DAY OF JUNE, I997.
