BEING A BY-LAW to authorize the
conveyance of a portion of Ross
Street in the Town of Aurora.
WHEREAS the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990 c. M.45 (as amended), permits the Council to pass by-
laws for the stopping up, closing and selling of highways;
AND WHEREAS the Council, having previously stopped up and closed a portion of Ross Street
pursuant to By-law 2702-84, deems it expedient to convey a certain portion of said land to the adjacent
land owner;
AND WHEREAS the provisions of the Municipal Act and Land Sale By-law 3613-95.A have been
complied with;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Aurora ENACTS AS
FOLLOWS:
1. THAT the portion of Ross Street described on Schedule "A" hereto, with the exception of Part
2 thereon, (the "Road") is hereby declared to be surplus land;
2. THAT Council does hereby authorize the sale of the Road to the adjacent land owner, Canadian
National Railway company for $27.18 per square metre, reserving such easements for utilities
and services as may be required;
3. THAT the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to execute all documentation in connection
with the sale of the Road;
4. THAT Part 2 on Schedule "A" is hereby dedicated as public highway forming part oflndustrial
Parkway South;
5. THAT this By-law shall come into force and effect upon final passage thereof.
