OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AURORA
BEING A BY-LAW to temporarily
close a portion of Yong~ Street,
within the Town of Aurora, for the
July 1st, 1993, Parade.
WHEREAS the provisions of section 24 of the Public Transportation and Highway Improvement
Act, R.S.O. 1990, as amended, authorize councils of municipalities to temporarily close
Provincial Highway Connecting Links for a period not exceeding seventy-two (72) hours;
AND WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to temporarily close up and stop traffic on a portion
ofYonge Street (Highway Number 11), within the Town of Aurora, on Thursday, July 1, 1993,
for the July 1st Parade;
NOW TIIEREFORE the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the Town of Aurora
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT Yonge Street (Highway Number 11), within the Town of Aurora, be temporarily
closed up to through traffic on Thursday, July 1, 1993, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
between the Aurora Heights Drive/Mark Street intersection and the Murray
Drive/Edward Street intersection;
2. THAT the York Region Police and the Town of Aurora Public Works Department be
empowered to perform all necessary acts during this time period to assist traffic and
guide motorists towards existing adequate detour routes and to allow the safe movement
of the parade on Yonge Street; and
3. THAT the provisions of this By-law shall come into force and effect upon fmal passage
hereof.

READ A THIRD TIME AND FINALLY PASSED THIS 26th DAY OF MAY ' 1993.
