BYLAW - Temporary Close Kennedy for Construction - 19900205 - 316590BY-LAW NUMBER 3165-90
OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AURORA
BEING A BY-LAW to temporarily close the
portion of Kennedy Street West between
George Street and McDonald Drive for
construction purposes.
WHEREAS the provisions of Section 208 (431 of the Municipal Act R.s.o.
1980, Chapter 302 as amended, provide that Council may, by By-law close
temporarily any highway under their jurisdiction for any construction,
repair, or improvement thereof;
AND WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to close Kennedy Street West between
George Street and McDonald Drive to allow reconstruction activities to take
place;
NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Corporation of The Town of Aurora ENACTS AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the portion of Kennedy Street West lying between George Street
and McDonald Drive be closed temporarily from the 12th day of February
1990 to the 23rd day of February, 1990, at which time through traffic
shall be restored;
~. That a reasonable temporary alternative route for local traffic and
emergency services vehicles shall be provided from either George
Street or McDonald Drive in an alternating manner;
3. That there sha 11 be erected at each end of the closed portion of the
highway a barricade upon which an adequate warning device shall be
posted and in good working order continuously from sunset to unti 1
sunrise together with detour signs containing a notice that the
highway is closed to traffic; and
4. That the provisions of this By-law shall come into force and effect
upon final passage thereof.
