BY-LAW NUMBER 3204-90
OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AURORA
BEING A BY-LAW to authorize the
construction of a Civic
Administration Complex.
WHEREAS the lands on Wellington Street, north side, being Part of Lot 81,
Concession 1 E. Y .s., designated as Part 1 on Registered Plan 65R-13645 are
required for the construction of a Civic Administration Complex, in the
total estimated cost of $10,000,000.00 (ten million dollars).
AND WHEREAS Counci 1 has determined that it is des i rab 1 e that tenders and
construction be undertaken as soon as possible,
AND WHEREAS Section 193(1) of the Municipal Act (Chapter 302) of the
Statutes RSO 1980 as amended authorizes a Council to establish and construct
such a facility,
AND WHEREAS a portion of the financing of such project shall require
borrowing approval beyond the term of this Council and for a period not to
exceed 20 years as provided for in Section 64 of the Ontario Municipal Board
Act RSO 1980, Chapter 347,
NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Council of the Town of Aurora enacts as follows:
1. THAT the construction of a civic administration complex, in the
total estimated amount of $10,000,000.00 be authorized. The
Ontario Municipal Board, by its Order No. E 900753
dated} June 27, 1990 , has approved and authorized the total
expenditure proposed and the long term financing of a maximum of
$5,000,000.00 for a period not to exceed 20 years.
2. THAT Council shall specifically approve of construction project
agreements by resolution as may be necessary from time to time, and
shall by such resolution authorize the Mayor and Clerk to enter
into an agreement with some person or persons, firm or corporation
and to sign any other documents necessary for construction of this
work, subject to the approval of this Council to be declared by
resolution.
3. THAT this By-law shall come into effect only upon the approval of the
Ontario Municipal Board.

THE BOARD ORDERS that this application be granted and that the
applicant may proceed with the undertaking and The Regional
Municipality of York may issue debentures therefor for a sum not
exceeding the lesser of $5,000,000.00 or the net cost of such
undertaking for a term not exceeding twenty years, provided that the
Councils of the applicant corporation and The Regional Municipality
of York in exercising any power approved by this order shall comply
