BYLAW - Appoint Director of Building Administration - 19900314 - 316990BY-LAW NUMBER 3169-90
OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AURORA
BEING A BY-LAW to appoint a
Director of Building Administration.
WHEREAS authority is granted pursuant to Section 208 of the Municipal Act,
R.S.O., 1980, Chapter 302 as amended, for appointing such officers and
servants as may be necessary for the purposes of The Corporation, or for
carrying to effect the provision of any Act of the Legislature or by-law of
the Council.
AND WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to appoint a Director of Building
Administration, who shall be responsible for the management of the Building
Adminstration Department.
NOW THEREFORE the Counci 1 of the Corporation of the Town of Aurora ENACTS
AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Aurora does hereby
establish the Office of Director of Building Administration and the
incumbent of the office shall be responsi b 1 e to the Chief
Administrative Officer;
2. THAT the duties and responsibilities of the office shall be to
organize, manage and administer the Department of Building
Administration and its staff with respect to its statutory and other
assigned functions in accordance with the policies and procedures as
required by law and as may be prescribed;
3. THAT Lawrence Allison be and is hereby appointed Director of Building
Administration;
4. THAT By-law No. 2880-86, a By-law to appoint a Deputy Clerk, be and is
hereby repealed;
5. THAT the provision of this By-law shall come into force and effect
upon the 19th day of March, 1990.
