BY-LAW NUMBER 3148-89 OF TilE ffiRI?ORATIOO OF 'lllE ~ OF AURORA BEING A BY-LAW to amend By-law No. 2213-78 WHEREAS it is deemed advisable to amend By-law number 2213-78. NCW THEREFORE the Cormcil of the Co:rporation of the 'Ibwn of Aurora enacts as follows: 1. That the zoning category applying to the lands shown in shading on Schedule 'A' attached hereto and forming part of this By-law is hereby amended fran "Central Carrmercial (C2) Zone" to "Central Carrmercial (C2-8) Exception Zone". 2. That Section 21 is ·hereby amended by adding the following as Section 21.10 "Central Canmercial (C2-8) Exception Zone". "The existing building on the lands shown zoned 'C2-8 ' on Schedule 'A' together with a floor space addition of not more than 160 square metres, may be used for a supportive housing hostel for physically and emotionally abused waren and their children subject to the following provisions: i) The minimum required parking shall be 4 spaces. the provisions of Section 21. 2. 4, parking may be side yard. Notwithstanding located in the ii) Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 6. 26, the required manoeuvring area shall be nil. iii) Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 6.31, the required buffer strip along the southern and eastern property lines shall be nil. 3. No part of this By-law will cane into force rmtil the provisions of the Planning Act have been canplied with, but subject to such provisions the By-law will take effect from the day of passing thereof. '"' __, CAl ' <J I ~ J[.I_ iii T '*I= ~.f-1-1- h ~ -, -;t ' ~ SCHEDULE ·~·TO BY-LAW N~ 3J'f<g~g1 - 2 - Explanatory Note Re: Zoning By-law By-law 3/'f'i-'6"{ has the following purpose and effect: To amend By-law 2213-78 the Zoning By-law in effect in the Town of Aurora to rezone the subject lands, being Part of Hcmestead Lot, Registered Plan 68, located on the south east corner of Wellington Street East and Victoria Street, fran "Central Comnercial (C2) Zone" to "Central Comnercial (C2-8) Exception Zone". The site specific amendment is to pe:cnit a floor space addition of a maximum of 160 square metres (1, 722 square feet), to the existing building and its continued use as a supportive housing hostel. A minimum of 4 parking spaces are required which may be located in the yard adjacent to Victoria Street. Exceptions are granted to eliminate maneuvering areas and the requirements for buffer strips along the southern and eastern property lines. APPROXIMATE LOCATION OF SUBJECT LANDS
