BY-LAW NUMBER 3084-89
OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AURORA
BEING A BY-LAW to temporarily close
Yonge Street (Highway Number 11), within
the Town of Aurora on July 1, 1989, for a
parade.
WHEREAS the prov1s1ons of Section 24 of the Public Transportation and
Highway Improvement Act allows councils of municipalities to temporarily
close Provincial Highway Connecting Links for a period not exceeding 72
hours; and
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to temporarily close up and stop traffic on
a portion of Yonge Street (Highway Number 11) in the Town of Aurora on July
1, 1989 for a parade;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Municipal Council of the Town of Aurora ENACTS AS
FOLLOWS:

THAT Yonge Street (Highway Number 11) be temporarily closed up to
through traffic in the Town of Aurora, on Saturday, July 1, 1989, from
the north side of Murray Drive and the intersection of Aurora Heights
Drive from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 o'clock noon;
THAT the York Regional Police Department and the Town of Aurora Public
Works Department be empowered to do all acts of assisting traffic
during this time period to provide an adequate detour route and to
allow the safe movement of the parade on Yonge Street; and
THAT the provisions of this By-law shall come into force and effect on
the day of passing thereof.
