BYLAW - Repeal Certain By laws Re. Purchasing Policies - 19890208 - 305889BY-LAW NUMBER 3058-89
OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AURORA
BEING A BY-LAW to repeal certain
provisions enacted respecting
purchasing policies and procedures.
WHEREAS, the Muni ci pa 1 Counci 1 of the Town of Aurora has enacted By-1 aw
2710-84 to establish rules respecting the purchase of goods and services;
AND WHEREAS, Clause 29 of By-law 2885-86 establishes spending limit
authorization for the purchase of goods;
AND WHEREAS, the Counci 1 of the Town of Aurora deems it expedient to
repeal the said provisions as same have been superseded through the adoption
of a comprehensive purchasing policy on the 11th day of January 1989;
NOW THEREFORE, the Municipal Council of the Town of Aurora ENACTS AS
FOLLOWS:
1. THAT By-1 aw 2710-84 enacted by the Council of 'the Town of Aurora
on the 17th day of September 1984 be and is hereby repealed.
2. THAT Clause 29 of By-1 aw 2885-86, as amended, a By-1 aw governing
the proceedings of Council be and is hereby repealed.
3. THAT the provisions of this By-law will come into force and effect
upon final passage thereof.
