BY-LAW NUMBER 3063-89
OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AURORA
BEING A BY-LAW to approve of the
acquisition of the lands described as
Part Lot 85, Concession 1, designated as
Part 2, Plan 65R-1582, Town of Aurora,
Regional Municipality of York, (formerly
Township of Whitchurch, County of York)
(hereinafter called the "Lands")
WHEREAS pursuant to an Order of the Ontario Municipal Board, and the
provisions of the Planning Act R.S.O. 1970 it was ordered that the Lands be
conveyed to this Corporation, as a condition of severance, for road widening
purposes;
AND WHEREAS by virtue of Section 193(1) of the Municipal Act R.S.O. 1970,
this Corporation is empowered to acquire Lands for municipal purposes;
AND WHEREAS the Lands were conveyed to this Corporation by a Deed of Land
from Lillian Mark Hamilton dated 9 July 1975 and registered 12 August 1975
as Instrument 177813;
AND WHEREAS no by-1 aw has heretofore been passed by this Corporation for
the acquisition of the Lands;
NOW THEREFORE the Corporation hereby enacts the following:
1. That the Lands have been acquired by this Corporation for municipal
purposes.
2. That the provisions of this By-law shall come into force and effect
upon final passage thereof.
