under the terms of Regional By-law No. R-841-87-4 you submitted By-law
No. 3146-89 for approval by Regional Council.
By the adoption of Clause No. 14 of Report No. 1 of the Engineering Committee,
the Regional Council of Thursday, January 25, 1990, has approved of By-law
No. 3146-89, and I am returning herewith two certified copies of the By-law with
the approval of the Regional Corporation aflixed thereto.

Clause No. 14 embodied in Report No. 1 of the Engineering Committee, which was adopted, without
amendment, by the Council of The Regional Municipality of York on Janaury 25, 1990.
14 BY-LAW APPROVAL -TOWN OF AURORA
The Engineering Committee recommends the adoption of the following report, Jam
5, 1990, from the Deputy Commissioner of Engineering: '
In compliance with Section 76(1) of The Regional Municipality of York Act and under the term..
of Regional By-law No. R-841-87 -4, a by-law respecting the passage of Town by-laws for roads lying within
300 metres of an intersecting Regional Road, the Town of Aurora has submitted by-law No. 3146-89 for
Regional approval.
This by-law extends the 40 km per hour speed limit presently in place on Aurora Heights Drive
between Yonge Street and a point just west of Foreht Crescent for the full length of the said street to
where it intersects with Bathurst Street (Y.R. 38).
It is recommended that By-Law No. 3146-89 of the Town of Aurora be approved as submitted.

BEING A BY -LAW to amend By-1 aw 2765-85,
a By-law to prescribe maximum rates of
speed on Orchard Heights Boulevard and
Aurora Heights Drive in the Town of
Aurora.
WHEREAS the prov1s1ons of Section 109 (2) of the Highway Traffic Act,
R.S.O. 1980, Chapter 198, as amended, permit Council by By-law to prescribe
certain speeds on highways under its jurisdiction;
AND WHEREAS it is now deemed advisable to amend By-law Number 2765-85;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Aurora ENACTS AS
FOLLOWS:
1. THAT Clause 1 of By-law 2765-85 be amended by the deletion of
reference to.Aurora Heights Drive, and the insertion of the following:
Column One Column Two
Aurora Heights Drive
FROM: The Yonge Street intersection 40 km/hour
TO: The Bathurst Street intersection
2. THAT the provisions of this By-law shall not come into force and be
effective until final passage thereof, until such time as properly
worded signs have been erected and are on display, and until the
approval of the Regional Municipality of York has been obtained •
