OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AURORA
BEING A BY-LAW to amend By-1 aw 2893-87,
a By-law regulating Building Permits and
Inspections.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the prov1s1ons of the Building Code Act, Council has
enacted By-law 2893-87 regulating Building Permits and Inspections;
AND WHEREAS, it is now deemed expedient to amend Schedule "A" to the said
By-law setting out classes of permits and permit fees;
NOW THEREFORE,
FOLLOWS:
the Municipal Council of the Town of Aurora ENACTS AS
1. THAT Schedule "A" of By-law No. 2893-87 be and is hereby repealed
and the Schedule "A" appended to this By-1 aw sha 11 be inserted in its
place and stead.
2. THAT the prov1 s 1 ons of this By-1 aw shall come into force and effect
upon final passage thereof.
READ A FIRST AND SECOND TIME THIS 24th DAY OF May ' 1989.
READ A THIRD TIME AND FINALLY PASSED THIS 14th DAY OF June ' 1989.

SCHEDULE "A" -BY-LAW 2B93-87
CLASSES OF PERMITS AND PERMIT FEES:
1. The following Types of permits identified in 2 (a) to (i) shall be
classes as "Building Permits". The fee structure will very with
respect to the nature of the application.
2(a) Basic Application Fee, Permit Renewal, Transfer of Permit:
$28.00 minimum

$2.69 per m2 of gross floor area, excluding unfinished basements
and service areas.
Commercial, Industrial, Institutional Buildings (including addition
thereto):
$1.50 2 for the first 930 2 (10,000 ft.2) of per m m gross
floor area.
$1.40 2 for the next 1,394 2 (15,000 ft.2 ) of per m m gross
floor area.
$1.20 per m2 for the remainder of gross floor area.
Alterations, Repairs:
$10.00 per $1,000.00 of work to be performed.
(e) Farm Buildings (excluding dwellings):
$14.00 per 46.5 m2 (500 ft.2 ) of gross floor area or portion
thereof.
(f) Demolition Fee:
$14.00 per 93m2 (1,000 ft.2 ) of gross floor area or portion
thereof.
(g) Aboveground or Underground Tanks:
$14.00 per 4,546 litres (1,000 gallons) or portion thereof.
(h) Aboveground or Underground Swimming Pools:

$60.00 plus an Engineering inspection fee of $150.00.
