OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AURORA
BEING A BY-LAW to amend By-law 1614-64,
as amended, a By-law to authorize
participation in the Ontario Municipal
Employees Retirement System.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of By-law 1614-64 enacted on the
21st day of December, 1964, the Corporation of the Town of Aurora elected
to participate in the Ontario Municipal Employee Retirement System as of the
first day of January, 1965;
AND WHEREAS, By-1 aw 1614-64 was amended by By-1 aw 2051-86 to provide for
participation by the Aurora Public Library Board with the Town of Aurora as
a single employer;
AND WHEREAS, it is now deemed expedient to further amend By-1 aw 1614-64 to
provide for the participation of other than continuous full time employees
of the Library Board in the System;
NOW THEREFORE, the Municipal Corporation of the Town of Aurora ENACTS AS
FOLLOWS:
1. THAT the provisions of By-law 1614-64, as amended be and are further
amended by the addition thereto of Clause 2 (a) such clause to read as
fallows:
2. (a) Effective January 1, 1988, every permanent, other-than-
continuous full-time, employee of the Aurora Public Library
Board may become a member of the System.
2. THAT By-1 aw 3073-89 enacted on the 8th day of March, 1989 be and is
hereby repealed.
3. ' THAT the provisions of this By-law shall come into force and effect
upon final passage thereof.
