BY-LAW NUMBER 3020-88
OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AURORA
BEING A BY-LAW to temporarily close
Yonge Street, within the Town of Aurora,
for a parade.
WHEREAS the provisions of Section 24 of the Public Transportation and
Highway Improvement Act allows councils of municipalities to temporarily
close Provincial Highway Connecting Links for a period not exceeding 72
hours; and
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to temporarily close up and stop traffic on
a portion of Yonge Street (Highway No. 11) in the Town of Aurora on Sunday,
November 27, 1988, for the Santa Claus Parade;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Municipal Council of the Town of Aurora ENACTS AS
FOLLOWS:
1. THAT Yonge Street (Highway No. 11) be temporarily closed up to
through traffic in the Town of Aurora, on Sunday, November 27, 1988,
from the Henderson Drive/Allaura Boulevard intersection and the
intersection of Aurora Heights Drive/Mark Street from 2 :00 p.m. to
4:00p.m.;
2. THAT the York Region Pol ice and the Town of Aurora Public Works
Department be empowered to do a 11 acts of assisting traffic during
this time period to provide an adequate detour route and to allow the
safe movement of the parade on Yonge Street; and
3. THAT the provisions of this By-1 aw wi 11 come into force and effect
upon the final passage thereof.

READ A THIRD TIME AND FINALLY PASSED THIS 7 DAY OF September • 1988.
