OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AURORA
BEING A BY -LAW to approve the sa 1 e
of certain 1 ands to Robert J.
Metcalfe (In Trust) for the
establishment and carrying on of an
industrial operation
WHEREAS this Corporation is now seized and possessed of the lands
described on Part of Lot 103, Plan 246 designated as Parts 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5,
both inclusive, Plan 65R-11243, Town of Aurora, Regional Municipality of
York Region (hereinafter called the "Lands");
AND WHEREAS, by virtue of· Paragraph 210(50) of the Municipal Act, R.S.O.
1980, Chapter 302, this Corporation is empowered to sell lands for municipal
purposes and speci fica ll y to sell 1 ands for the purposes of sites for the
establishment and carrying on of industries and of industrial operations and
uses incidental thereto;
AND WHEREAS, the Lands mentioned are to be sold by this Corporation for
the development of an industrial site;
AND WHEREAS, Robert James Metcalfe (In Trust) has submitted a proposal for
Purchase and Development dated April 7, 1987, to purchase the Lands for the
development of an industrial site;
NOW THEREFORE, The Municipal Corporation of the Town of Aurora hereby
enacts as By-law No. 2974-88 of the Corporation of The Town of Aurora the
following:
1. The Lands are no longer required for municipal purposes.
2. That The Corporation of the Town of Aurora hereby accepts the said
proposal and that the Lands shall be sold and conveyed to Robert
James Metcalfe (In Trust).
3. That the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to sign and execute under
the sea 1 of The Corporation of The Town of Aurora all documents
necessary to effect the sale of the Lands by this Corporation to
Robert James Metcalfe (In Trust).
4. That the provisions of this By-law shall come into force and
effect upon final passage thereof
