BYLAW - Sale of Land to Besk - 19880824 - 301788BY-LAW NUMBER 3017-88
OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AURORA
BEING A BY-LAW to approve the sale of
certain lands to Besk Properties
Limited.
WHEREAS, this Corporation is now seized and possessed of the lands
described as Parcel B-1, Section M-70 being the whole of Block "B", Plan
M-70, Town of Aurora, Regional Municipality of York Region (hereinafter
called the ''Lands"};
AND WHEREAS, by virtue of Section 193 of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1980,
Chapter 302, this Corporation is empowered to sell lands that are no longer
required for municipal purposes;
AND WHEREAS, the Lands are no longer required for municipal purposes.
NOW THEREFORE, The Municipal Corporation of The Town of Aurora enacts as
By-law No. 3017-88 of The Corporation of the Town of Aurora the following:
1. THAT the Lands are no longer required for municipal purposes;
2. THAT the Lands be sold and conveyed to Besk Properties Limited for
a consideration equal to the Corporation's legal and other costs;
and
3. THAT the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to sign and execute under
seal of The Corporation of The Town of Aurora all documents
necessary to effect the sa 1 e of The Lands by this Corporation to
Besk Properties Limited.
4. THAT the provisions of this By-law shall come into force and be
effective upon final passage thereof.
