OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AURORA
BEING A BY-LAW to Amend By-law number
2345-80 as amended, a By-law for the
licensing, regulating and governing of
Taxi Cab Brokers, Owners and Drivers of
Taxi Cabs and the establishing of the
rates and fares to be charged by the
owners or drivers of Cabs for the
conveyance of passengers within the Town
of Aurora.
WHEREAS The Council of The Corporation of the Town of Aurora deems it
expedient to further amend By-law 2345-80;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Municipal Council of The Town of Aurora enacts as
fallows:
1. THAT Clause 2 (c) of By-1 aw 2345-80 as amended by By-1 aw 2492-82, be
deleted and a new Clause 2 (c) inserted to read as follows:
2. (c) The Council shall not issue a "cab owner licence; driver or
taxi cab broker" 1 i cence to any person or firm who does not,
or is not providing the following:
A taxi dispatching office within a radius of 12 kilometers of
the centrepoint of , the intersection of Yonge Street
(Highway #11) and Wellington Street in the Town of Aurora,
complete with a two-way radio communication system which
shall be operating for the conveyance of passengers with the
option of closing:

Wednesday
Thursday
Friday
Saturday
Sunday
-between Midnight and 6:00 a.m.
-between Midnight and 6:00 a.m.
-between Midnight and 6:00 a.m.
-between Midnight and 6:00 a.m.
-between Midnight and 6:00 a.m.
-between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.
-between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.
And after January 1st, 1990, a taxi dispatching office within
the Town of Aurora complete with a two-way radio
communication system which shall be operating for the
conveyance of passengers with the option of closing:

2. THAT THIS BY-LAW shall come into force and effect upon final passing
thereof.
