OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AURORA
BEING A ZONING BY-LAW
WHEREAS it is deemed advisable to amend By-law number 2213-78.
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Aurora enacts
as follows:
1. That the zoning category applying to the lands shown in hatching on
Schedule 'A' attached hereto and forming part of this By-law is hereby
amended from "R5 -Special Mixed Density Residential Zone" to "R5-15 -
Special Mixed Density Residential Exception Zone" for a period to
expire on March 31, 1990.
2. That Section 14.3 is hereby amended by adding the following as Section
14.3.14 "R5-15 -Special Mixed Density Residential Exception Zone".
The existing building on the lands shown zoned R5-15 may be used for a
mental health counselling centre provided that no overnight
accommodation be permitted, for a time period to expire on March 31,
1990. For the duration of this period, and notwithstanding the
provisions of Section 6.26.1, the parking requirement of the R5-15
zone shall be nil.
3. No part of this By-law will come into force until the provisions of
the Planning Act have been complied with, but subject to such
provisions the By-law will take effect from the day of passing thereof.

Explanatory Note
Re: Zoning By-law
By-law has the following purpose and effect:
To amend By-1 aw 2213-78 the Zoning By-1 aw in effect in the Town of Auorra
to permit the following:
That the building located on the east side of Yonge Street to the south of
Mark Street {shown on the map below) may be used for a 'Social Life Skills
Programme' operated by the York Region Branch of the Canadian Mental Health
Association. The programme is to provide professional support for persons
who have experienced a menta 1 health prob 1 em through scheduled acti viti es
such as group discussions and creative workshops. No overnight accommodation
is permitted and no additional on-site parking will be provided. This use
is permitted until March 31,, 1990; after such time, Town Council may choose
to permit the use to be continued or have the property return to its former
permitted use.

of the Corporation of the Town of Aurora, passed by the Council of the
Corporation on the 20th day of January , 19....§!_ was given in
the manner and form and to the persons prescribed by Ontario Regulation
404/83, made by the Lieutenant Goverpor-in-Council under subsection 17 of
section 34 of The Planning Act (1983). I also certify that the 35 day
objection period expired on February 24,1988 and to this date no notice
of objection to the by-law has been filed by any person in the office of the
Clerk.
