BYLAW - Amend 2207 78 (Retention Periods) - 19880921 - 302588BY-LAW NUMBER 3025-88 OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AURORA BEING A BY -LAW to amend By-1 aw 2207-78, a By-law to establish schedules of retention periods in documents, records, and other papers of the Municipality. WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 249 of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1970, as amended, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Aurora enacted By-law 2207-78 on the 5th day of September 1978; AND WHEREAS it is now deemed expedient to amend By-law 2207-78 to incorporate provisions for the retention of Fire Department records; NOW THEREFORE the Municipality of the Corporation of the Town of Aurora enacts as follows: 1. THAT the provisions of By-law 2207-78 be and are hereby amended by the addition thereto of Schedule 'B'. 2. THAT the retention periods of the Corporation of the Town of Aurora as outlined in Schedule 'B' attached hereto are hereby adopted and estab 1 i shed as the retention period for each such record. 3. THAT Schedule "A" of By-1 aw 2207-78 be and is hereby amended by the deletion of reference "Building Permits" and the insertion thereof of the following: "Building Permits -Residential Dwelling "Building Permits -All Others 5 Years" 10 Years" 4. THAT this By-law shall not take effect until the Auditors of the Corporation have approved same by endorsing their name at the end thereof.
