OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AURORA
BEING A BY-LAW to amend By-law 2881-86,
a By-law to establish the office and
define, limit and determine the duties
and responsibilities. of the Treasurer
WHEREAS the prov1s1ons of Section 79 of the Municipal Act R.S.O. 1980,
Chapter 302 authorize the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Aurora
by By-1 aw to appoint a Treasurer whose duty it is to carry out certain
statutory duties;
AND WHEREAS the provisions of Section 87 of the Municipal Act R.S.O., 1980
Chapter 302 require the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Aurora to
appoint a collector by by-law whose duty it is to carry out certain
statutory duties;
AND WHEREAS the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Aurora enacted
By-law 2881-86 on the 17th day of November 1986 pursuant to the said
sections;
AND WHEREAS it is now deemed expedient to amend the provisions of By-1 aw
2881-86;
NOW THEREFORE the Muni cipa 1 Co unci 1 of The Corporation of the Town of
Aurora ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the provisions of By-law 2881-86 be and are hereby amended by
the deletion of Section 6.
2. That the provisions of Section 1 of this By-law shall come into
force and be effective on the 31st day of December 1987.
