OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AURORA
BEING A ZONING BY-LAW
WHEREAS it is deemed advisable to amend By-law number 2213-78.
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Aurora enacts
as follows:
1. That the zoning category applying to the lands shown in hatching on
Schedule 'A' attached hereto and forming part of this By-law is hereby
amended from "Service Commercial (C3) Zone (Urban)" to "Shopping
Centre Commercial (C4) Zone".
2. No part of this By-law will come into force until the provisions of
the Planning Act have been complied with, but subject to such
provisions the By-law will take effect from the day of passing thereof.

Explanatory Note
Re: Zoning By-law
By-law has the following purpose and effect:
To amend By-law 2213-78 the Zoning By-law in effect in the Town of Aurora to permit
the following:
That the shopping plaza located on the west side of Yonge Street just south of
Orchard Heights Boulevard which currently permits "Service Commercial (C3) (Urban)"
uses may now be used for "Shopping Centre Commercia 1 ( C4)" uses. A 1 i st of the
permitted uses in the ''C3'' and "C4" Zones is provided below.
"C3" uses (former zoning)
-animal hospitals
-antique shops
-automobile service stations and
service centres
-automobile washing establishments
-clinics
-convenience retail stores
-dry cleaner's distribution depots
-dry cleaning establishment
-gasoline bars
-garden and nursery sales and
supply establishments
-hotels, motels and tourist homes
-motor vehicle and trailer sales areas
-public garages, mechanical
-public transportation terminals
-restaurants and take-out restaurants
-supermarkets
-retail stores accessory to the above
-one apartment dwelling unit in
accordance with the provisions of
Section 7.4
-outside storage in accordance with
the provisions of Section 19.3 may
be permitted in conjunction with an
above noted permitted use.

of the Corporation of the Town of Aurora, passed by the Counci 1 of the
Corporation on the 16th day of September , 19~ was given in
the manner and form and to the persons prescribed by Ontario Regulation
404/83, made by the lieutenant Governor-in-Council under subsection 17 of
section 34 of The Planning Act (1983). I also certify that the 35 day
objection period expired on October 21st, 1987 and to this date no notice
of objection to the by-law has been filed by any person in the office of the
Clerk.
