BY-LAW NO. 2760-85
OF THE MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF AURORA ·
BEING a By-Law to authorize the Chief
Librarian to call the first Library
Board meeting in each term ..
WHEREAS Section 14 of the Public Libraries Act, Chapter 57,
statutes of Ontario, 1984, provides that Council may, by
By-law, authorize the chief executive officer appointed by
the Library Board to call the first meeting of the Board
in each new term; ··
AND WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to authorize the Chief
Librarian t·o call the first library board meeting in each
term;
NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Corporation of the Town of Aurora
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
(]) THAT the Chief Librarian as appointed from time to
time by the Aurora Public Library Board, be and is
hereby authorized to call the first meeting of the
Board in each new term.
(2) THAT the provisions of this By-Law shall come into
force and be effective upon final passage thereof.
